He then referred to the new European Directive (CSRD), which is expected to clarify the landscape by setting new mandatory reporting rules. He noted:
“Now, with the introduction of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), all these fragmented standards are being replaced by a unified disclosure framework that is no longer voluntary and also includes the crucial verification stage, which adds credibility to the entire process!”
In conclusion, Mr. Siskos underlined the need for a unified platform that can consolidate all necessary data within a clear framework, while also considering financial constraints — a tool particularly vital for the banking sector in this era of rapid technological advancement.
